Larkrise PTA
Lark Rise is the Parent/ Teacher Association at Larkmead School. Lark Rise was established in 2007, creating a valuable link between parents and the school and school governors. All parents/carers/staff are automatically considered a part of Lark Rise and are welcome to attend committee meetings.
Lark Rise offers parents the opportunity to play an active part in the school community and have a voice within it. There are many ways to achieve this: fund-raising is always an important part of the role of any PTA, and Lark Rise has run successful events including a Barn Dance, and Bingo and Quiz Nights to date. In addition, Lark Rise members have helped at school functions, such as New Parents’ evenings, demonstrating the presence of Lark Rise and attracting interest from parents joining the school. Lark Rise has offered further practical help in the form of a working party which painted the year 8 toilets and some parents have been able to provide support in the classroom. Whatever skills you have to offer, Lark Rise welcomes your contributions and your ideas.
Lark Rise is also an important forum for your views and opinions and an opportunity to share information with other parents. This is where our playground conversations can happen – come and join us.
